Pulaski Community Hospital Group Donates Coats, Toys to Area Residents
Pulaski Community Hospitals (PCH) Employee Advisory Group (EAG) recently collected and donated nearly 100 winter coats as part of its January Coat Drive for New River Community Action as well as several hundred dollars worth of toys for The Pulaski Christmas Store.
I am continually impressed with my fellow PCH employees generosity, says Lynn Keister, EAG Chairman. It is comforting to know that when asked to contribute to the many initiatives we support, they give from the heart.
Pulaski Community Hospitals EAG was established in 2006 to focus on ways that employees could give back to their community and to bring about positive change at the Hospital. In the past year, the group also spearheaded the New River Community Action Food Drive which resulted in more than 1,300 cans of food being delivered throughout the community, organized the collection and shipment of personal supplies to U.S. troops serving in Afghanistan and Iraq, collected soap for a missionary trip to Cambodia, and collected 15 large boxes of school supplies for Pulaski County Elementary Schools children.
In these challenging times, we are fortunate to have Pulaski Community Hospital employees, says Janet Johnson, NRCAs Area Office Director. They go far beyond the daily delivery of quality, compassionate healthcare by reaching out to the community with their support of local programs for our neighbors in need.
EAG members are also bringing about positive change at Pulaski Community Hospital. There the group serves as a forum through which employees share ideas and feedback and work collaboratively with Hospital leadership to continuously improve the Hospitals work environment and processes.
Hospital employees also support the HOPE Fund, established by PCHs parent company HCA to provide assistance to employees facing economic difficulties.
